Dorothea Lange (1895-1965) is best known for her raw, graphic, but
still beautiful photography that documented the struggle of people
rattled and uprooted by WWII. These images greatly focus on various
ethnic groups and workers. She was even hired by the the War Relocation
Authority, to capture photos of the movement of Japanese-Americans
after president Roosevelt ordered them to be moved into camps. This was just weeks after the disaster of Pearl harbor occurred. In these
armed facilities, Lange was able to capture many photos like this. Sadly, the government restricted some of her photos in which the world may will never see.
However this was not her only photography documentary. Lange had also captured many photos of the lifestyle and conditions of farm life out West during the Great Depression. The government also assigned her on this. But one thing is for sure, Dorothea has an amazing talent in which she is able to capture raw emotion while composing structure and beauty. The truth in her images is so unmistakable and present that it could almost take you back in time...
All in all, Dorothea Lange was a very gifted photographer who used a camera to speak volumes about different events. Her images are packed with emotion and will leave a mark on history forever.

Favorite Photographer
ISN'T THIS ADORABLE?!?
I've been looking for the artist or artists that have been taking these adorable photos. They all portray true emotions while still being humorous and colorful! I have no idea if it's an Amazon advertisement or a popular trend. All I know is that I've seen different artists make these and cant figure out who started it.
Here's some more photos I found:

So if anyone knows or finds out who started this could you tell me who? :) thanks!!!
Anyways, this is exactly what I want to do with my photography skills. I love this color and composition, and the small stories they tend to tell! Not to mention they all have an emotion. I love series and I'm really excited to do something like this! Here's some more photos I found:
Camera Functions
This really helps me remember the functions of the
camera! It's short and sweet and I can see it whenever I need a quick
reminder. :) Cant wait to really use those cameras now!

Bad Photos!
Well, to be honest this project was kind of difficult for me. Usually I take quite a few terrible photos out of 100 or so..(is that normal to take that many? I only took 60 for this project though). But for some reason when I actually try to get bad photos, they come out "too decent". I was still was able to get some pretty bad ones though! And here they are...
1. Wrong exposure: too dark! ...its a little blurry too.
2. Subject Blur: everything else is in focus..
thanks Olivia lol
3. All Over Blur: camera shake ......... extreme camera shake...
4.Bad Horrible Composition: my hand is covering the doorway
5. Wrong White Balance: way too blue

Shimmery Leaves
Since fall is practically here, and the leaves are finally turning red I
figured this would be a perfect picture to post! This was from a
beautiful bush downtown back when we went on our light walks..
(This pic was the favorite out of all of the ones I took c: )

Seeing Light
As I walked downtown with some of my friends this Saturday, I came to realize how beautiful light can be and how photography captures it in such a perfect way. But I also came to realize how unappreciated light is during everyday life. It's actually pretty amazing how something so simple can illuminate color, and define different textures, objects, and shapes all around us. And once you see it, it's hard to forget its there. From reflections on windows, the shimmer of leaves, and the glow of my frozen yogurt, I now truly know the beauty of light So through my tiny Ipod touch lens, I tried my best to capture some of the light I was experiencing all around me.
